INTERNATIONAL UNION OF HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Symposium on Logic, Methodology, and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the World Humanities Conference.

Liège, Belgium. 10 August 2017, 18:30–20:00.

The interaction between the sciences and the humanities has been important for both sides in the past and is likely to play an ever increasing role. The Division for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science and Technology of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (DLMPST/IUHPST) serves the role of linking the sciences and the humanities by being represented in both CIPSH and ICSU. In the proposed symposium, jointly organised with the European Philosophy of Science Association (EPSA), eminent logicians and philosophers of science will discuss various aspects of the position of logic and philosophy of science straddling the two cultures.
